I work with natural light only and shoot much of my work outside and on location. I have several places near my house that we can shoot if you don't have any ideas. I do shoot some indoors in sunlight filled rooms.
For clothing, I recommend trying to layer your clothes, to add texture and life to your pictures. Like tee shirts with corduroy or jean jackets or a sweater. Accessories like hats, ties, blankets, belts, shoes work great! I LOVE mixing bright colors that coordinate but that don't match perfectly! For groups, I recommend picking two or three colors and have everyone wear something in those colors. I DO NOT recommend everyone in white. I cannot say enough how much I LOVE different textures, patterns and colors so have fun with your clothing!! If you are unsure of what to wear, bring along several options and I will be happy to help you put something great together!! I also can recommend some great stores that sell great clothes for photoshoots!! Any questions, do not be afraid to ask!!
